All parts that fit the 1990-1994 USDM 4g63t motors will fit your engine, but the electronic connectors will work best with 1990 USDM or early JDM electrics (1987 pre-facelift). You can install a complete set of 4g61t parts to make it a turbo, but you will have weaker pistons. If you can ship in a 4g63t turbo motor and transmission, it will be so much easier. Not sure what sort of budget you are working with. |

Would the 4g63 from RVR do the trick? Can get it pretty cheap |

Best idea to start with exactly what chassis the drivetrain/engine will reside within. Are you going to have a chassis that had the motor mounts that traditionally mount three on the block (1G DSM style), one on the transmission casing, or three on the trans case (2G DSM style) and one on the motor timing side? RVR's I believe came with a 7 bolt 2G style motor/EVO1-3? This complicates things a bit. Custom fab for mounts and such. Post up some pics of your project vehicle if you can, and find the chassis codes for us to work with. Engine bay pics help the most, complete with a separate photo of the plate/build tag on the firewall. Lots of guys can answer questions here, but we need to know what you are starting with. |
