That needs to stay exactly as it sits...just converted to 63t awd auto! Imagine how nuts that thing would be!

I found some time to work on this today and the #3 connecting rod is broken. Not sure what's next for it but at least I know the problem. :P

That car is awesome 52,000 miles, if you ever want to get rid of those front seats I might be able to take them off your hands

What are your plans for it?

Right now it may be the platform for an AWD swap for another member on here, we'll see. So you're saying you actually like these seats? :)

I love everything about the red interior if that car was manual I would be all in. Needs red carpet

It actually has red carpet, its just covered by some blue rubber mats that the previous owner had in there. It will be a manual car as soon as I can hunt down a hydro clutch pedal assembly.

Decided to put a 7 bolt 2.4 DOHC NA engine/5 speed trans in this thing and try to make the ultimate daily driver, AC and all. The block, crank and head are all back from the machine shop so I'll grab some pics here in the next few days.

Sorry for the delay, I finally got around to uploading the pics of my progress so far.

Here is one of the 91 GVR-4 wheels that I picked up

Image

Here it is after some paint stripper and the pressure washer

Image

After sanding with 180 and 320 grit on my air sander to clean up the machined lip.

Image

After wetsanding with 320,400,600,1000,1500,2000

Image

After some polishing

Image

The difference between wetsanding and polishing

Image

All mounted up with 195-55-15's just waiting on a coat of white paint and clear. With the freshly polished lips taped off of course.

Image

Dirty from sitting under a pecan tree in my backyard

Image

Image

Here are a few pics of the car after it was pressure washed. Came out pretty decent for a 24 year old car with the original paint.

Image

A few engine shots. It's just a 2.4 7 bolt 4G64 pulled from a 95 Galant with a 2g DSM head and intake manifold. It'll be staying NA since it's just a daily driver.

The flash makes the VC look orange but it's a nice deep red

What's the compression ratio going to be with that setup?

Since this is a 7 bolt engine that came with a head that had 4 valves per cylinder it'll actually stay the same 9.5:1. The 6 bolt 4G64's that have the huge domed 2 valves per cylinder pistons would give the CR quite a jump when using the DOHC head.

Nice. Which tranny are you gonna use? FM521 would probably be a good match. All that torque and short gearing would make it pretty peppy!
