Little-bird is on the trailer ready for a trip to a warm, indoor facility so I can drop the tranny to verify everything is good with the clutch/pp/tob install and then assemble her and get her on the road!!

To Install:
Slave rod
Axles
Expo/Summit Wagon knuckles
New front struts
New Tie-rod ends
New Stab-links
New ball-joints
GVR4 rotors
Twin-piston brakes
New rear brake shoes
Headlight

Already missing her, but I'm glad to see she's getting some love. Hate that I had to let her go. Maybe one day I can pick her back up :p

Got the struts slotted last night, along with installing the new ball joints (to say the old ones were bad is an understatement) and tie rod ends, installed the new Expo knuckles. The clutch arm had a bent clip allowing it to rattle. Going to drop the tranny again and install my spare turbo tranny in it's place as I know the condition (the tranny in the car has some bad chunks taken out on the inside of the bell housing and a hole there.

Should be driving in a couple hours!!!

Finished up the Colt yesterday. I am amazed at how close I got the alignment by eyeballing it. Tracks true with no scrubbing or vibration. Still, will get it into the shop for a final alignment and the welding of the washers on the struts.

It is nice to drive it, but boy do I miss the power from the black colt. Going from 300ish HP @ 25psi to 90ish at 0-psi is a real eye opener. :o

Now, what to do with the Black colt shell once I remove the drivetrain.....

Did you install GVR4 Brakes on the Expo Knuckles?

Dredged out in the snow after work this evening and swapped out the shortened 3g shifter for the 4g shifter from the black colt. No more slop. Much nicer to shift now.

Weather in the high 40's today. So, I installed the Windshield washer reservoir, good leather steering wheel and turbo cluster with LEDs. Now I can see my speed better, plus no more torn up wheel. Getting her aligned tomorrow after work. Just needs new back brakes so it will be completely ready for DD duty. Then I can figure out why the washer sprayer will not work.

Green terminals plugged into the washer motor, and the terminals on the washer motor are likely green also. A little wet sand paper does the trick, and new female spade terminals will crimp and slide right in where the originals were in the pump motor connectors. Check for power and a ground on the wires coming to the motors, with a test light.

There are three plugs down there that will fit. Is it the blue plug, yellow plug or orange plug? All three failed to work, don't wanna clean all of them.

Spent Saturday installing the new struts I bought ($7 each, thank you rock auto) on the front with a set of Eibach sportline DSM springs. The front is now level with the rear and much stiffer. I expect it will drop down like the black colt did once the 4g63t and all the add-ons are installed.

You bought $7 struts from rock auto? I guess you like replacing them often...

Nah. They are Monroe struts. They were on clearance from wholesaler shutdown. Same struts are $40.00 each from any of the auto stores. I bought 6 MOOG ball-joints for the colt/dsm 6 months ago for $3 each the same way. Just gotta look for the sales

Monroe is garbage. I wouldn't use anything other than KYB on that car, because this is what it came with from the factory.

I want to say Orange and Black. One of those three has to be for the boost control solenoid. No colors referred to in the FSM, I just checked.

It's tight where my wires are, because of my short route intercooler setup. Someone will have to stare at their stock bottle and tell us what connectors are on it.
