For some reason I bought another DSM. It's a 91 Eclipse AWD with 97,XXX original miles. The shell had all of the hard stuff done to it like poly bushings everywhere, braided brake lines, upgraded brakes and had a super clean interior.

I am building a new engine for it and have started buying items already.

I have more pictures to take of my JNZ order and will update as I go. I hope to build a clean car that everyone will like. If anywhere along the way somebody sees something they feel is strange or wonders why I am doing something feel free to inquire.

I forgot to add the pictures of the rear underbody that I cleaned up and sprayed.

I plan on doing much more of this once I can get it on a lift.

Nice car! The undercoat you used looks fabulous.

What did you coat the undercarriage with? I'm planning a resto in the future - trying to decide on what to use for best durability/longevity. Thanks!

I used "paint able" undercoating. It was a Rustoleum brand. It took me like 5 hours to do because I was laying under the car with Simple Green and an old toothbrush cleaning the road grime and exhaust off of the underbody. I then scuffed the entire underside with a scuff pad and then painted 2 coats of undercoating on it.

Yeah i do not doubt it, its just that you see more 1g Talons alive than Eclipses and Lasers on the street...

More to come as I finish up. I will be taking a lot of pictures July 4th week since I have 10 days off to hopefully get the car finished.

So clean! Can't wait to see all those parts bolted up to the engine, and installed in the car. 8)

My thoughts too! It takes so much time getting the parts together to do a clean install right off the bat. There will be some things I am sure I will need to redo after it runs but that is with every build.

I'm glad to see an update on this car. You know how I am about the details so its good to see people taking their time and doing things right. I actually thought about you the other day when I was pressure washing an intake manifold getting it ready for paint  .
