I am starting to get excited. I drove the wife's car tonight just to get a little fix of speed.

I spent most of the day working in the yard (getting ready to pour some concrete to have a bigger driveway) so I didn't get much accomplished.

There is 1/4" or so of clearance at the radiator fan, 1/8" at the water pipe, and nowhere for the discharge to go.

I figured this was going to happen so I will be making a custom engine mount.

Add one more thing to the list of failures from the previous owner.

I yanked the front engine mount and found this. What I thought was window-weld was just regular old silicone. To add insult to injury check out the bolt vs. inner sleeve size difference.

I started working on the 02 housing

& of course the downpipe.

I finally mounted the FPR.

I still have quite a bit of work to do but it will have to wait, Mother's Day and all.

Here's the new engine mount using urethane from a 5.0 Coyote mount from work.. I still want to round off the edges of the bottom plate but only for aesthetics.

Packaging is definitely tight

This thing is going to be a beast. I like the way you deal with problems, as easy as possible. I'm the same way. Keep up the good work bro.

I had some fitment issues with my custom 02 housing that proved to be a major PITA in this tiny engine compartment so I decided to yank the 3071 and get a billet 20G/SL2.

The Billet 20G/SL2 is here, now I just need to figure out where to mount the wastegate actuator. Which is already proving to be a PITA. I have to drill out hte spot weld on the actuator arm and reposition it about 45 degrees and make a bracket to hold the actuator.

I am running into the same issue with my colt. I am running a 20g on my build. I also have my intercooler in the core support but your intercooler inlet (hotside) is about the same location as mine. I am looking at in the next week getting a punishment racing ss recirc o2 housing with the tial mvs and then praying it fits. If it doesn't I am doing your method which should make for more room. Seems like you have more time than I do currently to work on it so I am very curious what you end up doing.

i had issues with turbo placement and how there isnt any room. i found the a forward facing oil filter housing helps with down pipe clearance. and if i was running an intercooler i would have to move the alt to the back side of the block.

I am back to sqaure one. I mounted the wastegate actuator on the 20G in the same location I had on the GVR4 and it hits the electric fan. My memory immediately kicked me in my ass because I had both fans as pushers on the GVR4. Sure, I can just remount the actuator somewhere else but the only possible location I can see is either pointed straight down which limits the mounting possibilities or use a really long actuator arm and hang it out over the compressor inlet (ugly as sin and won't have the proper alignment). Moving the fan up front isn't an option because there is no room.

I went ahead and bought a couple new v-bands for the 3071 so i can make a new more compact 02 housing. I made a small fixture off the EVO 02 housing I had and my hope is to mate the 3071 to a stock type 2-bolt downpipe. Then just run the gate to atmosphere because that's where the real problems started with leaks on the first 02 housing I made.

I now have two badass turbos sitting here that I just can't figure out which way to go.

On a positive note I finally got the bumper back on the car. It took me nearly a full day of screwing with it and I had to trim the bumper cover but it is on the car. I also cut the opening just a little over an inch at the top to get a little more air in there.

Any updates. I have not been able to do all that much on my setup. I am going with a water to air intercooler now. I am using the honda dual core radiator, mishimoto 12in pull and 10in push. From what I seen I can put the radiator in with no issues. A buddy is working on my car today and I hope he can put the radiator in to get all the pictures I need and want to post. I just wanted to see what you decided on and what your game plan was.

Money has been tight so I decided to just make the 20G work and sell the 3071 (still available). I had to make a new wastegate actuator mount. The actuator head is 1/8" away from the fan and about 1/4" away from the manifold heat shield. I've been chasing a few fuel gremlins but I just got them worked out in the last few days. I have been tuning it with the AFC @ 20 psi and 91 pump gas. My target A/F's are right around 10:1 just because it has been so hot. I need to borrow Gimmie11's pocketlogger just to see where the timing and fuel trims are.
