Looks similar to a 1g AWD tank. Maybe you can make one fit?

1g awd tanks are mounted in behind the rear end at the back. i dont think they have the cutout that allows the driveshaft to clear the tank like the summit awd's have. a 1g awd tank would probably have no chance of fitting in the stock summit awd location. You would have better chance using a fuel tank from a 2g awd or a evo I-III fuel tank or get a custom fuel fell and mount it in the rear where the spare tire sits... or just find a good shape used tank

Thanks for all of your comments guys.

I have been searching for a replacement tank but no luck as of yet. i am also measuring out the van to see what size fuel cell i will need.

I think I am going to concentrate on the inter cooler piping while I try to figure this out.

If I do go with a fuel cell, it will be easier to fab exhaust. :)

I am still trying to decipher these wiring diagrams too. The vans are very different than the hatchbacks and the sedans.

A fuel cell would be great! If you can tig, or know anyone who does Aluminum by you, you could always fab one up. Id help if I was close by.

this swap was very simple, same as a 1g dsm!! i have ordered all new brake parts for the rear including..
drums, wheel cylinders, shoes, and hardware kits. got all for both sides from rock auto for 60 bucks plus shipping!!

Looking good! I actually found some really clean calipers on a Diamante last week. Mine needs a front wheel bearing so I'll be doing the same upgrade while I'm in there. Good deal on the dolly too, now you can rescue more dead Mitsu's. :P

Do you have any details on the wiring for the 4g63 swap in the van? i looked but am not having much luck.
mine is of course a 92 and my dsm wiring harness is from a 92 auto.

Saw you've obtained a fuel cell already but, rockauto has new gas tanks for 150 roughly. If you ever find the fuel cell isnt working, there is a replacement tank avail.

Awesome build btw. Always wanted to do one of these and a mighty max.
