The plan for this car is , take out 5 speed, insert auto and get a built IPT transmission with all the works. Pretty much just go crazy with this car and making it light as possible as I can. I know traction will play a major factor against me but I'm willing to take that chance and face it square in the eye with no fear The way I look at it as this, if the Honda guys can do it without AWD, I'm more than sure I can accomplish this goal.

The car looks rough around it's edge but it's just a start to my build and a early foot to success with it being some what drag ready. This will also be my final DSM because this is my "Go Big or Go Home" car:)

I know there isn't a lot of fwd drag cars but it doesn't bother me, going to do everything to make it work. Pretty much think of it as a CSM and do the best that I can. I seen a lot of FWD CSM on this site doing some great accomplishments so, why not a fwd DSM.

I love the notched rear seats for the cage lol.. on a side note.. to get power down on a fwd.. make the rear suspension as stiff as humanly possible. im talking.. if its gonna be street driven at all..even to a track.. put on a set of comfy rear struts.. once at the track put on a set of super stiff ones. if its gonna be trailer-ed to the track then no need to swap them out. the less movement in the rear.. the more power to the front.

I vote for the awesome "wheelie bar" that is actually a lever with wheels rolling on the ground.

The hood is in really bad shape and for whatever reason it takes in more water than a fish tank would have, lol. But I'm going to fiber glass it again and pick it for track purposes only because the opening will cool the engine bay down on summer track days.

Yeah stiff suspension is a must in the rear at the track, idk how much street driving I will do but we will see about that. Slicks is a must, no way around it, trying to find a set off a 5 lug mustang seeing 5x 114 is a match for 5 x 4.5 which mustangs have that same patern and difently want skinnies in the back.

Well the thing is that, the cage is not the best cage you probably ever see but why do you need a fancy cage anyways. The car is meant for drag racing so looking like a show car isn't my main interest and to add a roll cage is some crazy cash so, I have one foot ahead out the door. But also, this thing isn't going to look like a pile of pos either, it will have a happy middle, lol.

Yes, a ford 5 x 4.5 wheel will fit a 5 x 114 car and yeah that's what I looking for as well.

I have brought a guy that makes his own cage and he said it's good for 10s, anything lower needs to be redone. So I mean I really don't plan on going anything beyond 10s but if I do I'll have my boy add more pipes and then get it certified. There is another guy locally that does certified roll cages and I'll probably do it there if need to.

Hum...................... I have no clue, lol. I never have seen that before so, I don't know what to tell you, lol. I believe this car was a short track road racing car, the way it's setup has me believe that. I really like to know the history on the car :D

Could you read the white sticker on the center of the sway bar ?

Maybe ; RRE or White Line ...

A number of companies make upgraded rear sway bars for those cars. It's probably from suspension techniques.
