Early 92 right? If so and you think the trans is good I may take you up on that offer. Or was it 93 or 94 the axles got bigger splines?

So i got the trans dropped today and my suspicions are correct. One of the rivets on the clutch disk actually pulled through and the disk came apart and a big chunk got cracked. Both of my dowels where in place and all four trans bolts where also in place, so this must of been a premature failure. There was only about 5 thousand miles on this disk!

After I got the disk out I called South Bend up and told them my problem. They have agreed to take a look at it and replace it for free under warranty. I sent the disk out today so I am hoping to get a new one back soon, this is my daily!

I prefer un-sprung discs. It might be a bit rougher, but it really depends on how you drive.

Iv always drove with unsprung ever since I cracked a Pressure Plate a few cars back. Im driving a 4 puck unsprung right now as a daily. Iv been use to it, I seen no problems driving around. Im close to Chicago so I do alot city driving to, its not to bad. But its piece at mind to not worry about springs.
