You'll have CRAZY vibations at higher RPM/Speed
Is that the only downside? If so I can live with that lol. It's not a luxury car its a ugly little car that im trying to make go fast in a straight line.

Making the mounts takes literally a half hour. Some angle iron and you're good to go.

Those vibrations will cause damage to your drivetrain, I was told by a driveshaft shop a drive shaft that long would have to be over 3" diameter and really thick wall tubing to keep it from flexing and chucking itself on the pavement, 2 pc shaft at least, 3 pc is better from what I've learned

After talking to driveshaftshop and Henderson (a local driveshaft place) they both said that I could not get away with a 1pc shaft, and needed 2pc at minimum.

most people use the front (short shaft) and the carrier bearing.. they remove the other 2 rear pieces and put a single in there.. what this does is comes off the x-fer case like stock..then a sigle back to the rearend. there was a few I seen in the build threads over the years but no time to look as im off to work in a few.. if u dont find them ill look this weekend..

Did you sell parts from the colt or another car to fund the colt?

I spent today on the outside of the car. Spent a good 5 hours trying to bring the shine back, I think it looks good now especially for sun beaten , oxidated 24 year old paint. We washed ,clay bar, wash again ,buffed then waxed it.
