Small update. Since I'm using this Honda aluminum half radiator I have been looking for a clean way to mount to the core support. I didn't want to use a CSM rad bracket either. Today I came across this while getting some other supplies. It's nice and secure. Has a hole for a pin, which isn't needed really. I just wanted to be sure it wouldn't come undone so I opted for that option just in case.

Will update more soon. I encountered a few things that require a decent amount of cash so it kind of slowed progress.

I like it, may have to steal your idea. Are you using the csm insulator on the lower?

Yes I am. Just unbolted them from their original location and welded them in where I needed them. I tried to bolt them in vs welding but the lower support just collapses as you tighten them down. One thing I will be doing is making solid mounts for them similar to the process for doing the motor mounts. The old bushings aren't holding up well. As far as the idea, steal away :supz:

(note: its called a pull down latch, just in case you need to know what to call it.)

I think this would be a great alternative as its adjustable. I used a piece of rubber hose for an insulator.

Just a status update. Replaced the fuel lines, installed the AEM high flow filter, new AN fittings, finally found a fuel tank as well. Today I'm building a new custom pump assembly. Will post pics when done. Pick up the radiator on Monday from the radiator shop. After that just need to install the Expo knuckles and finish the headlight brackets. Sorry about the poor cell pic.

I'd put my fuel filter there, but I have a non-functioning cruise unit in the way.
Looking good man!

Quick question, do the rad clips keep the rad pushed against the rad support as it pulls in back in to create the "tension" of holding it in place?

It seems to yes. I'm actually going to put some rubber in between to insulate and provide a bit more tension just because.

Also, the eyelet for a lock or pin is a no go. Hood would not close with it there so I cut that piece off and it works fine.

Fuel pump assembly has been a hard part to find so I just made my own. I'm going to do a "How to" thread on this. But I made it from scratch. Used the flange from the stock unit but otherwise all custom made. Still need to seal up the port for the power wire but otherwise my fuel problem is all better.

Thanks. I didn't have much room elsewhere and I kinda dig it there too. The pump is a CNT 255. Wasn't able to find many reviews so I figured I'd try it out. It's cheaper than a Walbro but hopefully just as good.

Rubber hose rated for in-tank fuel immersion? Something about a an R9 or R10 being rated for in tank use. I'm sure you'll be fine, but I've seen and purchased a few sending units with cheap hose having been used, and you would not believe the impending doom that is the cracking, that was witnessed in lesser grade hoses.

Pretty sick way to resurrect that assembly!

The hose in the tank is the one that came with the CNT pump I purchased from DSMparts. I'm hoping it works out in the long run. And thanks for the comments. It's been frustrating but I'm actually learning a few things this time around. I guess that comes with the territory.
