Hi Friends.Can I swap 4g63(SOHC 16V) from Galant into my Mirage(Swift-1988 ),or is it easier to swap 4g63(SOHC 8V) ?
The 8V configuration looks like mine (4g15)

8V --> http://www.google.bg/imgres?q=4g63+sohc ... 9,r:12,s:0

16V ---> http://www.google.bg/imgres?q=4g63+sohc ... 9,r:18,s:0

Thanks :)

It depends on what sensors you can make work.

I thought the 8v 2.4 have the same wiring harness as the 4g15?

If so all you would need is, 2.0 tranny "with mount"

Custom mounts for the front and the back of the block. Something like this http://www.4g61t.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=31752

And the timing bet mount from 95 Elantra

uweenukr dad's swap is 16v though :-? Thought it was 8v. So you would have to ask him about the harness.

I am curious about this also.
