When I cranked the boost to 35psi on the street it was breaking up badly, I had to gap the plugs down to 14. I dug up a crane ignition box I had laying around and that solved the problem. It s a fireball hi-6di2 and basically the competitor to the msd dis2. I haven't tested out the built in 2step with it yet but it should help a lot with the launch vs the link fuel cut 2step.

The throttle cable and throttle body adapter was rigged years ago. It's a stock cable with all the a excess laying out if sight under the intake. The adapter is a 45* with a tab to bolt the cable too. I was using both bolts but over the years I lost one and or stripped it out so one bolt gets it done these days.

Here is some updated pics of the engine. I swapped back to my half size radiator because the scirocco got a little too close to a drill but when I was drilling a hole for the front engine mount. Also the car was getting hot in the staging lanes so I threw a thermostat in it.

I did some research years ago about the 4link and setup. I don't think it's all that important in the awd platform since the rear is doing half the work. My initial testing in front of the house had very little transfer to the rear and it spun. I adjusted it a bit and ended up with these settings. I currently have a wheel off to fix a dragging caliper (9s with a dragging caliper).

Some good news and bad news. After running out of fuel testing my new ignition cut two step I developed an issue with the car shutting off. It seemed to work fine after the backfire two step episode until I took it to my test track and brought it on the converter. It just shutoff every attempt I made. It was so bad that I had to hold the rpm at about 2k and slam into gear to get it rolling. Once rolling it was fine. I brought it home and checked for boost leaks and found the check valve to the brake booster had failed due to the backfire I assume. But even with the leak fixed the shutting off issue continued. I did a compression test for the first time since rebuilding the engine and it was 175across. Then I started thinking I had a transmission issue. I spoke with john at ipt via email and he kinda blew me off so I opted to throw a stock converter in. This is the converter I used when I first auto swapped and was still fwd. I also put in a new oem trans filter and cleaned some junk out of the pan. The shutting off issue is solved so my ipt restall has failed. Thanks ipt. I briefly tested the new old converter and it still stalls to 4k with the nitrous. I'm turning it down to run an event in two weeks if all is good after that I plan on turning it up and getting a new best.

You need to grab my spragless Hughes performance converter. I think you will benefit from it. I had a similar issue with ipt restalls

Consider putting a filter before the cooler as well , as that will reduce the amount of shrapenel that goes through the pump

P.S thank you for the pictures that I requested previousily.

Still going faster with more room to go. Spun first pass about 100' out. Still got a 1.69 60' but started spinning after.
http://youtu.be/nwzK6M1Ou3o

Next pass I shut off the nitrous sooner, 26mph to prevent spinning. New best 60' 1.58 33-34psi
9.80@140

Made the trip up to bradenton motorsports park for the fl2k race. I only raced the test n tune Friday. Unfortunately it was hot as shit and I drove like shit. No new best et but new best mph and 60'. I had issues with the shifter and missed third a couple passes. Last pass I spun the pass rear tire and gave up.
9.80@142 first pass 38psi

This looks a lot like a new best but I blew it with the od button depressed so when I engaged third it tried to go into od and slipped so I let off.
