I have wanted a csm for a very long time since I first saw some of Lilevo's first videos on youtube a while back. Last year i drove 5 hours to pick up this little rust bucket that I have fallen in love with ever since. Even through winter and rocking the 4g15 for almost a year now I can honestly say I love this little thing.

To start it off, I live in Wisconsin, Salt is incredibly abundant, This car is and always will be very rusty, The roof is absolutely atrocious, all of this build is with my money, I'm 17 years old and work at a sub shop while working on this and saving for culinary school. So to be brief and blunt, this thing will not be gorgeous or mint or even will I really take much effort in cleaning up the rust except in the wheel wells

Any help or criticism, always feel free to speak up, yell at me if something in this is stupid or wrong, please

It's a 91 mirage se, Blue with the blue gt interior. Currently sitting on gvr4 rims painted bronze with the lip deleted on all seasons on front and winter tires on the back. Roof rack trimmed and fitted from a montero. Plastidip laser front bumper.

2g fuel rail
2g throttle body elbow
90 non eprom ecu
adapter harness
1g bov, "Custom" as in hacked, hard piping
Act 2100 clutch kit
Fidanza aluminum flywheel
Black powder coated side-mount inter-cooler
Stock 14b, Larger aftermarket j-pipe
2g manifold
2g aftermarket 3 inch downpipe
2g o2 housing

The parts list itself has taken me quite sometime to build up, still being in highschool for all of this last year money was tight along with renting out a storage place for all of this with some friends.

The motor is currently sitting with the head off, just got the head work done. Doing BSE sometime this week, and then its all set to be assembled and timed. Hoping to get the swap done early July, and have the break in done and comfortable with it before the shootout.

Here are some random pictures of parts, motor, trans, ect.

very nice.. but dont put the timing belt on untill u are ready to drop it in the car.. that way u can prime the motor while it is out of the car... then put the timing and front cover parts on..make sure oil comes out of all the lifters.. also use a old valve cover so u dont scratch yours up... once motor is in the car crank it over without the plug wires on till lifters squirt oil..then connect wires and fire it up... alot of people dont do these steps and when they first fire it up theres no oill at the top end at all.. and thats not a good thing lol..

looks good otherwise.. gl with it all.

Looks good man! Can you get some more pics of the roof rack and how hard was it to install? Did you have to trim it or anything?

Thanks alot guys, these pics make the car looks really nice

The roof rack was the slide out cross sections from a 97 montero, I took them off, unscrewed the bolt to separate the bars from the mounting sections and once i had the bar pieces out i cut inch off by inch off with a cutting disk from each side. I then put them all back together and put some gorilla glue on the inside of the mounting brackets to hold the bars back in seeing as the hole for the bolt to go through was gone. Best part of it is that one the sides of the mounts there are mistu symbols, so it makes it looks pretty much "stock" for the car

It was a spur of the moment thing that seemed to turn out pretty decent, thanks for the positive feedback on it guys

This bumper is already plastidipped so painting over that would be pretty tough, this one is starting to get the famous laser curve in the bottom where it warps up though. So eventually I hope to get another clean laser cover and color match it to the stock color. I love this blue :)

Just spent the extra money to pick up a craftsman torque wrench so going to get the head torqued down, recommendations anyone? 30 weight oil or assembly lube? I know the torque pattern and everything but there is so much debate and difference on every dsm website for what the final torque should be. I was thinking 85 final torque would be sufficient for me, only being on 15 psi with a multi layer steel gasket should that do the job?

Use the ARP moly lube that comes with them and torque to their specs. Instructions in the box 8)

Silly question but you do have the MPI relay and the injector resistor pack plugged in right?
