So I decided to finally start on swapping my mirage. My plans for the build are stock motor with arp head studs, Evo 8 16g, e85 and still staying fwd. So far Tyler(COBHC) and I have pulled the stock 15valve and threw on gvr4 front hubs. I'll keep updating this thread with pics and progress as it's coming along. Let me know what you guys think! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I personally wouldn't go with an evo 8 16g, I know they have a lot of fitment issues on dsm's and not sure if it has been tried on a csm before. Evo 3 style 16g would be your best bang for the buck. |

When your cars front suspension is compressed, your tires will steer toward the center of the car, and when unloaded they will steer out. You should get the CSM wagon knuckles and instantly solve that, while retaining the hubs, calipers, bearings, and rotors you want. |

Is that the phenomenon known as Bump Steer? I used 1990 Galant GS knuckles modified to fit the steering arm as top mount. I havent noticed any bump steer after alignment, but I also havent had the chance to drive this car in the rain either. Also slowdsm used DSM knuckles and hubs modified this way with good results. |

Yes it's called bump steer, and according to my measurments the car in that picture has a lot of it. The tie rods are in from the bottom. As for the modified DSM/Gvr4 knuckles, that may work, but the wagon ones don't need to be modified to work right (not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with drilling out your steering arm). |
