ok so im 48 yrs old.. been building engines since 81.. ive probably built 12-15 over the years..

I have put more time into detail work on just the top end of this emgine than I have in all my other engines combined.. normally its gets the fast black paint then it goes in lol.

I sure hope he likes it and offer to toss a few extra green my way for the time spent lol..

It might be just me but I thought it looked pretty cool without the Black lettering. It reminded me of cheap chinese toys or something. great stuff either way.

Definitely not my style, but it's not my car either.

Wow I actually kinda like it... it's growing on me! It's original and well-built if nothing else!

Well it will be pretty wild I guess, To each his own, but definetely get alot of attention! Im sure it will draw in crowds.

Agreed. Paint back over the black "detailing" and I think it looks neat if nothing else.

small update.. got the correct rings finally after 3 tries... STAY AWAY from the evo 8 pistons they use a super small oil ring and are hard to come by. anyways got the botom end together.. sat the head and some other parts on it for the pics.. will have it completed in the next few days.

first off.. I bought this tapered ring compressor... got to say.. its 1 of the top 5 best tools I have ever bought in my whole life the pistons just slid right in with no resistance at all.



here is the pistons in. need to touch up the block where I missed some paint lol





and here is basically how it will look in the car.. still gotta paint the water pipe and motor mounts and all brackets still.
