For sure man! Probably this weekend. I am going to inventory what parts I have to turbo swap this thing too. I got picked on by an old ass BMW 318i on the highway this morning. I was struggling to get past 105 mph and he slowly passed me. That frikkin 20g would have changed that outcome!

Probably going to run Link off of the Galant for now along with the PLX WB. Sadly it will blow through that dinky FMIC from the Galant. If figure even without a legit exhaust system it will be about as loud as it is now. HAHA

Agreed haha. You've still got that 20g right? Did you get a rebuild kit for it? Put that sick puppy on.

I put the 20g wheel and housing on my good 16g CHRA. That is what I will be running.

Yep thats a Redline Freaky X tire on an Alienation rim. Raced in the NBL from the age of 5 to 22 or so and have been riding park, street and trails for the past couple years. Yourself?

I started riding flatland in the mid to late '80s and then discovered street and that was it. I was hooked! Rode that and parks until a few years ago and just got tired and bored with it,plus my knees needed a break haha. Good times, though!

I performed the turbo conversion this weekend. Items that went onto the car: "Sleeper" 20g (16g CHRA and turbine with 20g wheel machined to fit the 16g housing), 2g turbo manifold, 190lph Supra fuel pump, 550cc Evo injectors, Aeromotive AFPR, "high flow" Supra fuel filter, Small FMIC w/ GVR4 hard pipes, 2g MAF, EGT gauge, PLX wideband, HKS boost gauge, Hallman external manual boost controller, 1.6l turbo ECU socketed w/ stock EPROM chip (will be ECMLink ver. 3 once I have my damaged ECMLink chip repaired and returned).

The "funnest" parts of the swap were drilling the oil pan to accept the factory oil return, wiring the resistor pack into the harness, adding the seventh wire for the 2g MAF and wiring the knock sensor into the harness. I started this at 11am on Saturday and worked till 11pm Saturday night. Sunday I started again at 1pm and worked till 11pm. So total time for the swap was 22 hours. I blame the gravel driveway and muddy conditions after the rain on Sunday. LOL

Having no means to tune the car or even see the actual AFR I have the boost set at 8lbs which is wastegate pressure for right now. With 50% throttle and reading EGTs of up to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit the car is quick but by no means fast. Once I have Link in and can safely tune it for more airflow I am definitely rocking out.

Pictures are to follow!

I got the exhaust put in last night. Time was not on my side so pictures were not taken. I will take some pics of the completed product and post those up though! Exhaust system is comprised of a 2.5" downpipe to a 3" glasspack that is 27" long and 3" to the bumper. No tip will be used.

Got a good tune on it last night. AFRs are hovering right around 12:1, EGTs right at or a tad over 1400 degrees Fahrenheit with timing advanced 18 degrees. Put the correct information in for the Horsepower calculation by ECMLink and it gave me 180-190 to the wheels. Running 9 lbs on a Sleeper 16g with my 560cc Evo injectors running somewhere around 50% IDC should be in that range of power. Hopefully I can get the MBC in today and turn up the boost a bit. I would like to max out the 560's but I do not want to nuke the OE clutch, blow the head gasket or crack ring lands. I have a set of oil squirters that will be going in the bottom end at the next oil change and I also have old ARP head studs that will be paired with a new head gasket and installed sometime in the future.

This Friday I will be going to the local quarter mile to run it. I have been trying to do so for the past two weeks... I really wanted to run it naturally aspirated just for a baseline but that did not happen. Hopefully I can get the MBC sorted and trap somewhere around 110mph.

How do you plan to drill/tap for oil squirters with the engine in the car? Not saying it can't be done, I just don't know that I'd be drilling around the bottom end of my engine with it still assembled. It only takes one little piece of metal in the wrong place to lock the engine up.
