Going to be some fun times installing all the goodies! hoping to get some of it done soon. Going to mexico the end of May and taking out the talon hopefully this weekend so busy times ahead. Will try to update once more is completed.

Wow :o nice collection of parts. I want to see that steering wheel installed, I've read they don't work well with the telescoping columns..

Nice progress and sweet stash. I'm digging those coil overs. They should definitely make that car handle like its on rails. I'm also digging the 2.4 swap. Sucks to hear about the accident but thank God that you walked away from it. Slamming into a moose isn't like hitting a small deer. Those bad boys weigh around 1500 lbs. Its like slamming into a small car. Its just a good thing that you came out unscathed. Good luck on this build. I'm subscribed.

Thanks guys it wasn't fun that's for sure. I'll try and post a pic of the truck when I get home.

I don't have an adpater yet, but if it doesn't work with the telescopic I also have the regular column I could use or keep it for my talon

I can't wait to actually get it on the road and try out the suspension. All my old colts were always few basic mods to support and twist up some boost for go, I never had the funds at the time to actually worry about good suspension and even tire size. I did find the stock GT brakes to be decent, but these babies should be a slight difference lol :supz:

Also just got my hands on a great condition MHI EVO III 16G from my buddie's EVO, he upgraded, bonus for me! with running the 2.4L, ECM Link and this turbo, I think there will definetly be traction issue's. I need to source a LSD unit eventually, I dont think I want to chance the inserts.

Thanks for looking and comments everyone.
Cheers,
Jim

Evo 3 turbo + 2.4L engine + FWD Colt = $$$$ tire budget :D
And less driveability pleasure :-?
Nice build really.
Keep up the good work

Any informations about your suspension setup ?

Hell, even when I swapped the 61t into my old 92 with a 14b, 450s, a SMIC, a SAFC, and small upgrades, my Colt felt so much more driveable then I had with the 63t. I ran a 63t with Evo 8 pistons, Evo 3 cams, Cometic MLS head gasket, 20g, 660s, full 3" turbo back, 18-ish psi, and I put down 308 whp. The problem was that the car felt like a straight up death trap and even with a slipping brand new stage 2 clutch, I would shred the street tires all the way through 4th. It was scary but if you kept your foot out of the turbo, I averaged 28 mpg and it was just like a normal car. That's what I miss about my CSM, it was like Jeckyll and Hyde.

You just have to learn how much you can push the gas down before you start spinning, can't be driving like the honda kids spinning though all gears and hitting the rev limiter.

triangles are fender braces, they were custom made by the guy I bought some parts off for his car, I ended up with them

Been a hectic few months, haven't had time to progress on the car but it's still workin in (slow) progress :o

Sorry not for sale

had to push the project out the weekend past as my talon's throw out bearing decided to take a dump so I needed the wrenching space to drop the tranny, fun times, used to taking this thing out now, just over 1.5 hours by myself :supz:
