Hey,

Ive had this Arrow for about two months, I started working on it so I thought I would start a build page.

You are looking at a 1978 Plymouth Arrow GS, In other countries they were known as Lancer Celeste.
At first I thought it was an ugly car but it has really grown on me, I think its beautiful now, I guess Im hooked!

Heres some details: Non Running at the moment.

RWD
4G52 2.0l Astron Motor with Chain drive and silent shaft technology! 2BBl Mikuni Carb
Auto, May convert?

The car is in decent shape for being over 30 years old! A little rust in the lower quarters. but very straight all around. The interior is shot. Im missing the center console as well.

So far I have gotten it to start with some carby spray, I disconnected the fuel lines beforehand.

Below are pics of the car and what I hope to have it looking like when Im done.

Right now it has some 13" staggered Cragar wheels on it, Old School!

I like the look of all three of these, Im not sure what look to go with. just yet

I'm liking it. Something different for sure. It looks a lot like the really old galant sigmas. Nice find

This is what the Engine bay looks like as of now. The motor looks long but its only a 2.0l. It has a timing chain area in front that makes it look longer.

It looks like the Previous Owner installed an external fuel pump and capped off the mechanical one. It also has a chrome aftermarket Air cleaner.

Guess in Japan it was called the "Mitsubishi Lancer Celeste", but you already mentioned that

That silver one is spot on :) Whoever built it did it right -- clean and simple!

Nice find!! Do it up with a 4g63t.
My roommate in Toronto once had a Fire Arrow-same body style but with a 2.6 litre and 4 wheel discs. It was a blast.

Drove it around the block today!!!! I think this motor may need a rebuild, It has some seriously loud valvetrain noise. I was told when I got the car that it needed a new oil pump, so Im fearing that it has been running low oil pressure. There is a brand new oil pump sitting under the pass seat. Now is my dilemma, Swap the oil pump and drive it till it breaks or park it for a while till I source all the 4G63T parts for a swap. Hmmmm, what to do?

Anyhow, Here is some pics of cleaning the fuel tank. I cleaned the tank and lines reinstalled and it fired up beautifully!
Notice that I have leaf springs, Now that gives me motivation for some Traction Bars!
