This 89 GT black colt actually isn't mine persay....Its a very good friend of mines, i almost got ahold of it around 4 years ago when it was 100% stock. My best friend ended up buying it and he didn't have the time to do all of the work to it so he gave it to me to complete it. I have been working on this build for the last few months. It came to me in very rough shape and i have nursed it back to life. In this process i have had to pull the tranny 4 times and also replace the whole transmission (diff pin blew a hole in the housing) and clutch (disk spring popped out). oil was leaking out of almost every seal and oil line there was... ECU was fried causing it to run like shit and have horrible voltage fluctuations. |

got it tuned on a mustang dyno something is not right.. not putting down the power it should be at all. made 260WHP @24psi hrrmmm it should be making 350 whp. The a/f's were a bit rich.. when we tried to lean it out it didn't want to make anymore power. flowing around 1200cc of meth (two 630cc nozzles before the TB) Zero knock counts, not sure on how much timing is in it. |

What is the tuning software involved? I made 420 whp on an evo 3 16g at 25 psi so something is definately not right seeing how the FP68HTA flows like a 20g. |

its on DSM MAP using Jackle and a ostrich to tune it. Did a compression test yesterday 130 115 130 130 Cyl #3 is covered in oil with tons of carbon build up. (low compression number) Still the car ran a 12.6 @ 111MPH in the 1/4 this weekend ![]() Melted the spark plug in #3 with detonation at the top end of 4th gear. OOPS put a new BPR7ES in there and shes running fine still lol. Good old indestructible 6 bolt. Even hurt they rip ass. time for a motor rebuild. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hope to get it to the track in the nxt couple weeks. with street tires at 26 psi right now its breaking the tires loose in 4th gear. Not really street tunable anymore. Off to the dyno she goes. |

WOW! ![]() Really nice, I bet it is a monster! I'm glad you are satisfied with 68HTA because I'm getting one of those. This Apexi boost controller sounds good, I guess I'll be needing that one too. Tell me how does it know in what gear you are in? Is there some kind of a sensor? What exactly is this 3" Race Ready Electric cutout? ![]() What does it do? One again, I really like your mods, keep it up! ![]() |

One again, I really like your mods, keep it up! ![]() The Apexi boost controller has a speed signal input, TPS, and RPM inputs so it can calculate which gear it is in by also doing a "gear learn" mode where you set the RPM and gear points affiliated with speed points. The electric exhuast cutout is pretty simple. All it is a butterfly valve that opens up and "dumps" the exhuast out shortly after the downpipe/flex section. It bypasses the rest of the exhuast that goes up and over and sideway into the muffler. its fruit and banana AWESOME hahah |

WTF? Why do I have to be one of the ONLY ones on this forum without a decent looking car? Sometimes I think I should've just left mine white and saved me the hassle. I am so jealous of this car... ![]() |

hahahah no reason to be jealous... this car is a shit beat crapper!! the driver side door is falling off... the front bumper is flimsey.. and the exhuast and rear suspension bangs and clangs more then a drummer!!! The engine is a $100 junkyard special that was siezed up due to water getting in cylinder #3... hahaha it does have a few nice "add-ons" tho... the HTA68 and the Apexi AVC-R are my favorite... oh and the electric cutout... |
