Glad to see this car stayed in the family. I've always admired that car and the amount of work that went into it. Welcome to the site and I can't wait to see some more progress.

Love the JDM treatment on this car. For some reason I thought it went to another member on the board. Good to see you're on here!

Thats the same thing I thought at first. I remember someone posting in Bowdown's FS thread that they were on their way to pick it up. Guess it didn't work out.

Yeah i searched bowdowns name and i saw the for sale post and I realized how close i was to losing it. i found it by accident posted in LA but he was in San Diego and all the post said was " Turbo Lancer" i was like oh great another 2000 sumthin lancer that someone wasted there money on, and when i saw this 1990's beauty i immediatly fell in love called him up and saw it that weekend, and bought the next...

Damn sexy car, an example of what a clean 3rd gen sedan should look like. You picked a nice starting block, and an AWD swap would be awesome. Welcome to the board! Post up any work you end up doing to it, however minimal it might be!

The part of the rod assembly for the pedal to clutch broke about 3 weeks ago and it has been a downward spiral. I thought it was the clutch master cylinder but then i looked at the pedal and saw the bolt was bent to shit. Got a new clutch master cylinder NEW $31.00 from autozone and replaced while the wife helped bleed the clutch assembly. Image
The other day i hit a barren stretch of I 5 and gave the car some gas till someone flew on the onramp in front of me and when i hit the brakes some of the brake corners worked better than the others. bled the brakes while changing the oil and evacuated massive air from when the resoivoir ran low a few weeks ago... phew... that would have sucked if i actually needed them at 120 mph plus :-?

Will you take a handful of pics of the interior? I am debating on what type of Evo seat I want for my car.

Post subject:  Re: Bowdowns creation!! Engine Mods SOON!!

So I have a bit of a dilema... a good one though, im getting $3500 in a few weeks as a re enlistment bonus and am gonna put about $1200 or so into the engine. deffinates are 255 wally and a Fuel pressure reg. but what im not sure on is WTF kind of BOV is cheap but good for boost?? (I have a stocker 1G now) AND not looking like a damn space ship ( HKS SSBOV) engine mods so far are evo III 16g / o2/ and headers and cometic head gasket. im gonna buy some RRE 3" piping and make a custom DP back Catless exhaust. But my Questions are What BOV? to 264/272 or not??? and if i do cams would it be a good idea to just upgrade the Valve train components while im in there??? help me make my decision because im stumped and have about three weeks before im drooling all over new stuff..
