Today was interesting. John from REVSHIFT just picked up a CNC mill, but it won't be delivered until next week. I need mounts asap so I can't wait that long for him to get the mill, make molds, make mounts. So John and I drove around to a few places trying to find potential molds for the urethane motor mounts. We bought a glass vase, tried that, Didn't work out how we hoped.
The rear rollstop is unique in diameter from the other 3 mounts, it's a little smaller which made it even harder to find something to use as a mold. We ended up stumbling on the idea of a "canned food" can. Cranberry's to be exact.
Anyways, John mixed up a batch of urethane, went through the process, poured it into the cranberry can and this is what we came up with...
It couldn't be a tighter fit. No Joke at all, we pressed it in and had to use grease, it's not coming back out without brute force or a BFH.
Recently I did a vinyl job for a skate shop owner, and asked him if he could give me a deal on skateboard bearings to do the shifter bushing mod. He actually gave me junk bearings he had laying around for free, which worked out great!
I had John weld up two sets(4 bearings per set, 2 bearings per shifter linkage) One for myself, One for Bobby.
Needless to say, they came out great.
Also, not much of an update, but I got the first piece of my SD setup last week! The integrated cable from ECMtuning.
Sorry for the shitty pictures, I'm going to buy a camera soon damnit.
