This is the current state of the swap. There is still a bunch to do. I had planned on working on it this weekend but my dad had a heart attack so that never happened.

I still have the passenger side brackets to remove that held the rear beam in place and the gas tank mounts for the front of the tank.

No point in drilling the spot welds.. I spend a solid hour doing that. JUST to cut that entire area out. because my lower control arms hit

Did you set your rear end height so that you needed to modify the tunnel for the carrier bearing? I am going to see how far away from the frame the rear end needs to be to not have to modify the tunnel. I know LILEVO did this.

He is right, you will have to clearance those spots. With the rear end sitting in the correct spot, it will still hit there.

Based on every picture I have looked at of other swaps I figured I would have to do something there. I hope to get more done on it this weekend but I may have to work.

Been super busy at work and on weekends so the AWD progress hasn't really been going anywhere. I have ordered some parts and had some stuff powder coated.

Thanks guys. I spent all day working on the rear sub frame. I had to cut off the stock upper control arms because the eccentric bolt was seized to the sleeve. I then had to press out the stock body mount bushings so I could weld solid ones in. I have a little grinding to do tomorrow before I get it powder coated. I also pressed out the mustache bar bushings and welded solid bushings in. I will take pictures tomorrow and post them up. I spent $20 on some steel that was waterjetted to create these solid bushings. I didn't feel like spending the money on boostx bushings.

This looks nice.

It's like looking at my build page.

Go have a look and tell me what you think. I've been building my car just week to week every nice job.

I have seen your build and I like it. Mine is gonna be simple but hopefully awesome. I am definitely taking my time. I needed to get tooled up for the project and feel I am now. Now I need motivation to finish the rear install.

It's looking good man. Have you made up the mounts for the rear end. I want to get my rear end pondered coated.

I havent yet. I am waiting on the hardware to put the rear end back together right now. Once I have it all I will be able to put it in place and get the mounts figured out. I did make brackets for the mustache bar to bolt to. Hopefully the rear end will be welded in by Christmas.
