I really like where this build is going. It is nice to see people thinking outside the box.

Not much, I picked up a 94 Mitsubishi Mighty Max a few weeks ago and I have been working out little bugs on it. I also had all four wisdom teeth pulled last Thursday so I've been chewing on hydrocodones and ibuprofens  .

No real updates other than I picked up another summit wagon and its been taking all of my extra time lately. The colt is down to a shell and looks pitiful. I sold a part here and a part there and kept changing plans with the build and honestly it got out of hand. We are constantly working on our house remodeling it and I only have the budget and patience for one major project at a time :P .

Note to self. Don't start anymore major builds until our house is done and I have my own shop in the backyard.

No doubt, Chris. Throw in kids and a day job and life gets complicated fast.

Wednesday was a sad day. My brother and my uncle helped me load the colt on a trailer and haul it to the scrapper. Watching the front end loader bust out the side window with its forks and bending the roof while picking it up made my heart sink a little. But its out of the way, plans for a nice shelter behind the house are under way and I have more than enough to keep me busy for now. Like I mentioned earlier, no more major projects until I have a shop because its nearly impossible to build a car the right way without one.

At the end of the day its still just a car though. There are still plenty of these things sitting around broken down somewhere waiting for a new life. When the time is right God will bless me with another one I'm sure.

It's definitely nice to have a shop to work under. I know you worked hard on that car, sad to see it go. I bet you helped out a few fellow CSMers with parts from the Colt. All I got to say is the past has happened and is definite, but the future is wide open and anything is possible. Keep working your dreams, Chris! :^D

^Exactly man. All of the super nice parts that I had stored away went to really nice people with really nice cars so in my opinion it was a win/win deal. I do miss the colt but I paid $760 for it and drove it for over a year so I can't complain at all. I was able to sell a lot of parts from the body and it still brought $140 for scrap even though it was down to 1,000 lbs and completely stripped. Had I not picked up that Summit wagon for cheap I'm sure I would have rebuilt it eventually but it was a lot easier/cheaper to get a complete $350 car up and running.

All of the bugs have been worked out on the Summit and it'll be getting a fresh respray and detail this summer along with some wheels and GVR4 front brakes. If everything works out hopefully we can drive it up to the shootout.

Said to see it go but I fully understand. I don't have a garage of my own to work on my pile but I'm lucky enough to have places I can take it to get some work done. I have done a ton of work on a few of my cars in the driveway and it sucks. Also there was no way I was going to do an AWD swap in my driveway so I don't blame you at all. Can't wait to see your next project!
