I love to see a good build thread! The work you've done on the car is top notch, congrats! You'll be happy when your work pays off. Your choice of valve cover is confusing, though: Pink, to regular, to gold? Haha, but, you're so close, so good luck this next week. Props!

That looks awesome man. That is the way it should have been done when I built it. I did not have the aftermarket intake and that is what made it difficult for me.

You build of the your system cost about $400 less than it cost me to install it. So you made out good. Good thing for second hand parts right?

And just so you know and have confidence in your new exchanger, I run that same exchanger/radiator as the radiator for my engine in my colt. I got it from siliconeintakes just like you did. My motor does a pretty good job of staying cool. I do run 13 gallons of coolant and water, but still, that is all I use. I run two 7" fans and that is all she needs to work well.

Looks great as I said man.

Thanks for the props and input guys. I Am in Denver on a family emergency so I haven't been able to work on the car but I will be home this weekend and I am very excited to finish working on it. Thule valve cover thing is kinda random. I did the pink one to be random at a car meet and becuase it was hyundai. And the gold was already painted gold so I just stuck it on because I like that style valve cover and was too lazy to redo it. Yeah I definately like second hand pArts. I got a screaming deal from you. For the price I paid I think I got a pretty Solid system. Anyways there shula be more to come soon.

I did live in thornton. We sold our house not too long ago and moved near downtown denver. I am still not too far. I live off of 45th and broomfield is around 120th. Just give me a jingle.

So I finally got home and got some more work done...I got all my gauges installed and my HKS turbo timer. I got all the sensors installed as well just needs to finish installing the EGT probe. I also got my catch can in the mail and hooked it up. My next step is to finish my exhaust and install my wideband 02 sensor. I am going to go ahead and order a QTP 3in cutout also.

So, that is where I have to mount my FPR. It always looks so easy when people don't have AC, and all the stock emissions controls still attached to the firewall. 8)
