Turbo installed for the most part, still got a bunch of cleaning to do. This manifold places the turbo in a very nice position for me, not even close to the block or water pipe and will clear the front motor mount by a nut hair.

New injector plugs came in, will be wiring those up this weekend.

Also still looking for a 40/41mm WG to finish off the manifold. (the 20g WG is welded shut in-case anyone was wondering)

Got the intermediate shaft swapped over (hate that the bulky heavy ac bracket had to go with for now)

For the belt side still need alternator and belt, the belt off the 61t was a tad too small and just going to throw a new alt. in there while I'm waiting...

very nice.. my t4-t3 adapter angles the turbo so it clears the water pipe also.. gotta love not having to smash the pipe to fit lol... and get rid of that damn fram oil filter lol..

Will do, as it still needs an oil change. Also thinking about running the forward facing ofh.. too much heat in that area, it's almost touching the oil filter.

fram filters are fine. they make the OEM filters for a lot of manufactures!

Stick to mobil 1 or k&n filters. Frams are cheap, that's why oem cars use them for oem purposes. They might be fine on a stock motor setup but I don't trust them on anything more. Why cheap out on an oil filter, spend the extra $5 and get better filtering, metal instead of cardboard insides, and a non-exploding can.

The motor came with the Fram, I didn't chose it, just throwing that out there lol.

Also, notice the rust in the thermo housing and water pipe? Is that normal for a motor thats been sitting a while? I'm assuming someone used the wrong mix ratio or maybe just used water.. Should I do a coolant flush or should I get things torn apart and cleaned and replaced?

just run strait water for the first bit... then you can just drain it out... and refill it... ... or you can undo your lowr rad hose and take your thermostat out and shoot water down the upper rad hose so it come out the bottom hose... keep doing this till it flows... as it runs and heat cylcles it may loosen up more rust in the cooling system... just kkeep draining it or flushing it till it starts coming out clean. When its clean drain a bunch out and fill it up with pure anti freeze to get the proper mix.

Ordered an axle from NAPA, I hope its the right one

Theres so much more the car needs I can't even think strait but I took today off work to get in some more progress.

Will be replacing the T-stat housing and upgrade the 61 throttle body hopefully soon.

A lot of temporary things here because I'm not even sure if this motor is good, ha. Bought it from a guy on cl, it's jdm with all recipts and paperwork but we shall see. Got the front mount mounted, don't mind the mess of pipes and couplers :partyman:

Plan to turn the key next week. :toimonster:
