Well I guess its time for my six month up date on my colt, lol. It has been slow going because of money and lack of motivation. I got my car to my house about six months ago. I had just finished fabbing up the drive shaft mounts and lower core support mount. I ended up not liking the mounts and the core support so I ended up cutting everything out. My next step was getting the car together enough to take to our madcou car show. For the car show I got the engine bay repainted, the motor, tranny, and t-case in, and I got the dash back in with all the gauges half way mounted.

Bay before paint.

Pics from the car show.

After the car show the went up on four jack stand and is still there. I the rear brake lines bent but I still need some fittings and some braided line made. I put in the engine harness in and starting getting it back together, I still plan on doing a tuck but I want to fire the car before I go any further. I also got started on the battery relocation stuff, I have some of the wiring done and the box mounted. I replaced the front wheels bearings, mounted the fuse box inside the car, and fabbed up a shifter extender. About a month ago I finally ordered DSM link V3 and my speed density stuff. And I also scored a carbon fiber hood. I know I'm missing some stuff that I have done but that's all I can remember for now.

And I finally got some help with the car, lol.

I like the stickerbombage! I wanted to do the same thing to my car under the hood, but its a little trendy and I found another solution I like just as much. Now I can just stare at your car for long periods of time.

Haha touche! Get this thing running already. I guess you have a year or so to get it done, but it better be at Shootout next year. If my build was geared more toward race/function it would be very similar to this with the flat black, kirkeys and elimination of everything unnecessary.

I think this needs to be moved to the builds thread if that's possible.

A new temporary home that is. My buddy was kind enough to let me use his lift. I still have some fab work to do under the car and I don't have a welder. So far we have just tried to get organized and plan out everything that needs to get this thing back on the road.

We started with the rear shock spacers and this is what we came up with.

Nom Nom Nom... High heat low gloss black, my favorite color for everything I don't want to look out of place under the hood :D

Me and my buddy had a weird moment when we came up with it. We where planning on making a spacer with plate steel, tubing like we used and using long bolts. We where testing the angle of some piping we cut and trying to find something we could test fit it with. I grabbed the stock top hat and we both just looked at each like why the fruit and banana didn't we think of this earlier.

I have used it on just about everything. I love the color. I think you could almost paint a car with it and make it look good.

Finally got some work done that is picture worthy. Got all the fuel pump wiring and battery wiring finished up a few weeks ago. I also started on tucking the engine harness, just have a few more things to wire up and I can wrap up the engine harness. Last week Me and Wheats got the front core support done, I got it mounted up this weekend. Also got the turbo bolted up for the last time and made some braided water lines for it. And thanks to fathouse for doing some welding on my radiator.
