I need to finish the IC piping, hook up the MSD, wire the AEM 5 bar map and I need some suspension.

Been messing around with some EVO IX Suspension.

Rears modified for Mirage use

Probably should have taken pics before I fruit and banana with them. I cut the bottoms off the Mirage shocks and welded in the fork on the bottom of the EVO shock

Seems like a pretty good drop without doing anything but the bottom perch part.

That's pretty sweet. Which springs are you using?

They are complete EVO shocks and springs. Even the tops fit perfect. The front EVO shocks should work just like DSM ones but I think it will sit a bit high. Also the 2.5 inch Coil over perches do not fit on EVO fronts.

Right now I just have the stock blown Mirage struts in the front with Aerospeed Coilovers. Sits even but it a bit bouncy in the front. The rear feels AWSOME!! I get pretty good traction in 3rd now even at a wopping 11 psi.

Just we all know its an original turbo car, the original sale sticker. I wanna make it to the mod event on year and tape it back in the window for SHOW factor.

Are you saying that the rear upper strut mount is the same on a csm and a evo IX ?

Man that is baller. Modifying the strut body is the route I took also. But the struts I molested were FWD KYB AGX CSM struts.

You mean DSM struts? KYB doesn't make AGX's for a CSM.

Trev, that's an awesome setup. Do you think the front springs would need to be cut to sit even with the rear? I wonder if you could get away with using a DSM lowering spring up front? I am seriously considering trying this with my Mirage, I have a complete set of EVO 9 springs & struts sitting in my garage.

Wow, thats an awesome setup for the rear, for not much money too. I've seen used evo shocks/springs for dirt cheap. As for the front, do you think just swapping in the csm upper strut mounts on the stock evo shocks would work?

Huh, I guess they are DSM AGX's. I don't know why I thought they were CSM... Stupid me.

They are exactly the same height so it should. The threaded end of the shock may be thicker so that might be an issue.
