Yeah I"m still working on it
Lowering and repositioning the strut towers so I don't have the to Jerry Rig the strut. There at the totally wrong angel for this Talon rear end. (Sorry for the bad typing I've been drinking Hop Stupid and Ranger all night)

That is genious in my opinion, if I ever do an AWD swap I would like to borrow that idea. Great thinking!

Leveled out the towers and getting ready to prep the metal. This mod will put the shocks in the right angle and height.

You can look at the old plug welds and notice it sits an inch or so lower now too.

I like that a lot! It makes me want to build another. When I got to that point I half considered moving the towers, but I just didn't have the stones to cut them off.

So then I almost made steel bolt in extenders for the top, that would bolt to the top of the strut mount, then bolt to the tower. I figured they would look like a really short 4" diameter test pipe with a flange on each end.

In the end I took the easy route with my bottom extenders. I can't complain; it works well despite my rear shock mounts being angled.

Looks great! I love it when people come up with new ideas for the swap.

OK so the DSM Struts I bought are shorter the the stock ones and I needed to do another modification. Here are the Lower mounts raised. I think it looks better anyways. This is what most who do this swap should do insted of modding the strut.

So these struts were also 8 inches shorter than stock?
