Disconnect the rear hose right at the sprayer inlet. Back spray compressed air with a wand tool, to blow out any possible blockage in the tip. Re-install. Try again. Debris will make it way to the last point in the system, and or the line is squished somewhere under the carpet/trim.

I'll give that a shot. As long as the rear wiper keeps working, I think the safety won't be an issue, even with the dribble nozzle.

I've worked pretty hard lately, getting everything working properly, lol. This $750 score has turned into something that realistically should have been used for parts, or walked away from. I've got my eyes open for a sedan, which would be the ultimate conversion for me :).

I'm 100% sure you don't need a rear wiper/washer setup on your car.
I was reading the MOT safety handbook today for exactly the same scenario.
In Ontario, you only need a windshield clearing system capable of cleaning the drivers view. Rear windshield is never mentioned other than the rear view of the vehicle being blocked off, necessitating outside mirrors to compensate for this. Drivers window has to operate properly either by power or manual to allow a hand signal. You don't need bulbs working, just that the "function" of the circuit has to be confirmed. I could go on forever ..... you're good without them working. If they call it on you, ask them to show in the brown binder where it says they have to work. It's not there ..... Lol

Good to know! My rear wiper is clearly on its last legs, so if it kicks it before the safety I'll just weld the hole shut, lol.

Haven't done much lately, just put in a new speedo cable. The odometer isn't working, which bugs me because I'm a mileage-tracker, but I suppose it's not the end of the world. The VSS works fine with the Lancer A/T ecu I'm running too, which I wasn't sure of. The speed signal is different in the later mitsu A/T stuff, it uses an internal impulse sensor instead of a VSS. This gives me access to the launch control mapping portion of the tune file...muahahahahaha!

Went to the scrappers today and scored two 12" ebay slim fans for $30, which will come in handy at some point. Especially since my main fan is millimeters away from the downpipe. It's not a question of 'if' it will melt...it's 'when', lol.

If my hatch were in good shape, sure, lol. Like everything else on this car, there's a poorly-repaired (previous owner) spot around the wiper motor hole. The bottom of the hatch under the "COLT" reflector has been done too, as evidenced by the crap paint job and rust. My car is definitely a beater project, but I'm having fun with it anyway :).

Bah. I'm bored, and when I get bored (mainly due to an unfinished car, and lack of 'car funds') I change things. This time, the boredom has brought out some ricer tendencies, so I'm going to try speed density so I can hear my BOV, lol.

I've already got the MAP sensor wired up (happened to have a GM 3 bar in my toolbox), and the code modded to lock my IAT at 20*C until I get a GM IAT sensor. I had made an SD harness a while back, so it's finally become useful :).

Sigh. Brakes are wrecked, suspension is terrible, and one side of the car has seized calipers for sure. It's going to be a long time before this car is on the road.

Not sure yet, haven't dug into it. It hauls ass to the right when I brake hard, and all four shocks are pretty much pooped.

Scored a 4G colt shifter at kenny upull today though! :).

You should have bought that whole car!

I have spare calipers sitting around, that I literally cleaned up just a few weeks ago. I need an excuse to put the scrap metal to the curb. I can see what I have, once you know what is pooched. The rear calipers are screw in style, and likely one is seized, or a front caliper or a combination of the two. I know, just get the wife to pump the pedal with one caliper at a time, flipped up. The rears however have to have the parking brake cable released to get them flipped. The buggers at Mitsu we can thank for that.
Or the easier way of jacking up the car and holding the brake pedal and seeing which wheel is not holding properly, then going in deeper.

It's in the yard, so unavailable for purchase :(.
It's a bit rough anyway, and the engine is COVERED 100% in oil gunk. I've never seen anything so dirty, lol.

The next big job I'm tackling is the exhaust, so that I can actually idle the car in the driveway without waking up the entire town. The brakes will wait for a bit, since I've pretty much given up on getting the car on the road for this summer. Adult responsibility sucks sometimes :(.

What brakes are compatible with the Colt GTT stuff?

4G shifter installed.

Holy CRAP! It's a completely different experience! I've had short shifters in cars before, but this is more than just a shortening, it's an overall improvement. Very happy right now :).

Galant and 1G FWD rear calipers are a direct fit I believe. Have to search the caliper numbers.
Front brakes are not shared with any other IIRC, but if you want to go bigger than stock wheels, machine the hub down a pinch so it will fit inside a galant VR4 rotor hat and install the rotor on the outside. 6mm spacer for the caliper bracket to move the caliper out the same thickness as the rotor depth. Twin piston VR4/Diamante calipers will work then. Heck there is even this new Endeavour brake setup showing up on sites like RTM Racing and others. Apparently it just moves the caliper upwards, using larger rotors - but the same dual piston setup from so many years ago, so more swept area per rotor revolution; better braking from the same caliper. Not sure what wheels are required to clear them or not.

Of course a master cylinder upgrade isn't too expensive and would be required to get rid of first pedal low application height and overall weak feel. Who wouldn't want 296mm rotors versus 276mm!

Well, I think I've got a massive brake fluid leak somewhere, because the reservoir is emptying out. No puddle though, although I haven't really looked under the car, haha. Too lazy right now.

The brakes did work well before, so I think I've got some seized slider pins on one side, and a big leak somewhere else. This would be an easy fix :).
