You're 100% correct on the stock Honda bore sizes. Honestly it's been so long since I had my hand in one of those engines that I couldn't tell you a Honda block from a Mitsu. I had no business posting that reply...lol The last Civic (EG8) that I built had a JDM D15B 1.5 SOHC in it because when I bought the motor on eBay for $600 shipped I had a 89 CRX that I had planned to swap it into. When I got the car the fenders were so rusted that they were flopping everywhere I went. I took the original D15B2 (TBI) motor out and swapped an A6 head onto it with a stock rebuild and a manual swap from an SI and it was a significant increase from stock. But I always wanted to hear that VTEC crossover. When my wife and I bought our house and I found out that I had a garage I put the CRX in there and started prodding the body with a screwdriver to see what was Bondo and what was steel. Turns out the rear quarters were made out of 3" of putty so I decided to pick up a CLEAN 92 EG8 for $600 with a blown head gasket for my engine. I miss that car SO much. It was the best running swap I've ever done. 36 MPG with the LX manual trans and would still haul ass. Ah well, then again, I miss my old Colt dearly as well...
