I couldn't leave it white, I had to fix the rust that was on it and in order for me to do that I have to grind the paint off and honestly I'd rather pay $8.50 for a can of Rustoleum than I would for a $25 pint of that white, then reducer, then clear, and have it not match the rest of the car. |

Hey guys. Just wanted to get on here and update a little bit. I broke my smartphone and my internet is currently shut off at my house and that's why I've been non existant here for a little bit. I would love to post pics and I will this weekend when my internet gets turned back on. My computer crashed and my dad gave me a new one so I'll be back in full effect after this weekend. Since the last time I posted about this car the 8 valve engine threw a rod on the turnpike at 80 mph. There is a hole in the back of the block the size of a baseball and a hole in the front the size of a half dollar. Anyway, I went to the local yard and found a 4G63NA for $300. They told me that it was complete but when I got there the injectors were missing, the CAS was missing, the TPS was missing, and the alternator was missing. I talked them down to $200 and it was mine. I took it home and spent 6 hours scrubbing the block and tranny with gas and a toothbrush. Then I hit the rust areas with a wire wheel and my air grinder and painted the block, oil pan, fuel rail, tranny, and exhaust manifold cover burnt copper. While the engine was out I also scrubbed the engine bay and painted it flat black with a flat clear. The bad news is when I broke my phone I lost my SDcard with over 1200 pictures and 800 songs. ALL of my progress pics were on that card. But the engine is in and I have the ECU so I currently just need the harness, an alternator, a NA flywheel and clutch, and fluids and she'll be running again. I will update with pics this weekend. Thanks for bearing with me guys. I'm glad I have you all as friends. |

I am painting the whole car with flat black wrinkle paint... I think she looks good like this. What do you all think? I have to admit that I like the fact that I have officially doubled my stock horsepower and I can't wait to hear that 4G63 fire up for the first time in God knows how many years. But I like Rat Rod looking cars. Just run what you brung kind of shit. I'm a broke bastard and I can't afford all the nice fancy shit that you dicks have... But it's the little things that are getting me now. |

There's a 1G DSM running around somewhere that the guy painted with plastidip. It looked great from the pictures and he said it was super durable and easy to clean! |
