We don't have any manuals that far back here, maybe there is something out on the net related to that model year range?

Tim, or anyone else for that matter. Does anybody know where I can download CAPS for windows 7? We got a new computer about 6 months ago and when I tried to download it, it wouldn't work for some reason.

I can say that I have not used any version of caps in many years. I also updated my PC and never figured out how to install what we have had access to here in the links.

Mitsu no longer uses "CAPS", its a very similar program now called "ASA". I found an downloaded it from another board, had to make a software friend of mine install it for me, cause I couldn't get it to work. I can't remember what board it was on...

Updated links to Kaxlon's server. He owns the server where they are hosted, so hopefully they stay up for a long time.

See first page, ASA links x4.

Online version of ASA, much easier to navigate and shows a complete breakdown of the items from each picture page, off to the right hand side. So very handy ... but you have to have a browser translator much like Chrome does.

Dear friends, I'm new on this forum, and I'm glad to be here. I found what I need.
I own a Mitsu Colt Z30 1.5 DiD (the one with the Mercedes engine) built in 2006.
Unfortunately my gearbox case was broken by a stone, and now I need to fix it.
However I cannot find the part number I need. I downloaded MMC ASA and followed the instructions. I'm not a noob. I use Windows 7 x64, and I used the registry editor to make all the changes necessary still , even following the steps many times, I cannot make the MMC ASA work!

Can anybody give me any suggestion please on how to make it work?

or.. can anybody tell me the part number for:

1.my whole gearbox (yeah.. all the gearbox)
2.the right case part number
3.the left case part number

I really need to find a second hand alternative, any help will be greatly appreciated. I live in a country where those cars are rare (because many people own BMW's and Mercedes) and I need to make an order to Germany or something. but first I need those part numbers.

So.. can anybody help me with the part numbers, or how to make MMC ASA work?

It will work if I run Windows XP in Virtual BOX? (Emulated?)

Thank you!

Just saw your post today.

I have some success finally getting ASA to install, and then I did the same thing for the next 3 versions.

What error messages are you getting??

Which model do you have??

Also of great note, is that there are guys in England/Europe with these cars registered here:

http://www.coltuk.org/

And Germany registered here:

http://www.mitsu-rulz.de/phpkit/

Both the British and German sites share members with us here, and they are all friendly and helpful.
Don't be afraid to sign up and ask questions. Some of the guys in Germany write/speak very well in English.

They may be able to point you to some parts or suppliers.

P.S. My next post may help you along, or may not.

P.P.S. Your trans case may be possible to save through welding it shut. It will require removal, cleaning, outgassing (baking the part for a long time in the oven) and then prep and welding, but most welders that can do aluminum, should be able to save this assuming the case is not severely warped, and or the damage is not currently or did not create a serious change in preload/load on parts that were rotating at the time. Alternatively, if you can tell us about your model type, then we can track down the transmission # and google can most of the work for us.

Cheers
