Just saw your post today.
I have some success finally getting ASA to install, and then I did the same thing for the next 3 versions.
What error messages are you getting??
Which model do you have??

Also of great note, is that there are guys in England/Europe with these cars registered here:
http://www.coltuk.org/
And Germany registered here:
http://www.mitsu-rulz.de/phpkit/
Both the British and German sites share members with us here, and they are all friendly and helpful.
Don't be afraid to sign up and ask questions. Some of the guys in Germany write/speak very well in English.
They may be able to point you to some parts or suppliers.
P.S. My next post may help you along, or may not.
P.P.S. Your trans case may be possible to save through welding it shut. It will require removal, cleaning, outgassing (baking the part for a long time in the oven) and then prep and welding, but most welders that can do aluminum, should be able to save this assuming the case is not severely warped, and or the damage is not currently or did not create a serious change in preload/load on parts that were rotating at the time. Alternatively, if you can tell us about your model type, then we can track down the transmission # and google can most of the work for us.
Cheers
