i live in aust. i have a 4g61t. i also have a evo intake manifold. i want to put the intake manifold on the 4g61t. i know that the evo manifold has smaller ports but im told by and engineer that that is dont to flow better. anyway whats the best way to go about doing this? should i get a head welded up and machined to take the manifold? is they a hyundai hed that i could make fit that already has this port size? any other ideas that might help?

Umm the 1.6L head has small ports, so I think before you start doing anything go get intake manifold gasket for a 1.6L DOHC and a intake gasket for a EVO and compare. That will tell you just how close they are.

ok after looking at this thread:
http://www.4g61t.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8607
it shows the 2lt having much bigger ports than the 1.6, i assume this it the turbo engine. so does that mean that my na engine has the same size ports as the 2lt but the turbo engine has smaller ones? the evo manifold looks the same as the the pic of the 1.6 manifold in that first picture. so gives me another few questions. so if my 1600 turbo has the smaller ports should i try the evo manifold? also if the turbo ports are smaller would it be better to use my na head with the turbo cams and the evo 60mm tb? which would be better to run? which would give the best performance gain?
