I came across a CORE 4g63t motor at a radiator shop the other day, it was given to them, it has ZERO manifolds on it (int or exh) and it has been sitting on its side ( timing belt up ) for god-knows how long, I offered 75 bukks cash for it, mainly for the head/cams/rods/pistons/pan, but the guy said, " the head is worth more than that " and I am thinking, is it even wort it? what is a fair offer for a total mystery motor with no history that needs to be completely gone through?

i know its a turbo because it was sitting next to a non-turbo motor that had the manifolds attached, and the pan on the turbo one has an oil pickup hole in it, so derr.

Well its only worth what your willing to pay for it. So if your willing to go up then go up, otherwise just cut to the chase and ask him, whats it worth to him, then counter offer.
