Hi there,
I would like to change my 13" wheels to 14" or more. I have a 1.5 manual '90 colt.
Up to which size can I go without any modification, and of course, without damaging the car's transmition or direction?
Thanks in advance

At least go with 195/60R14's they will make a difference.

Geoff has 16's and his car is slammed... it looks dope but he said it rubbed a bit on the fender. Gotta be sure you have the right offset to fit it, but a 16 looks very, very nice on a c/m. Hey Geoff- got any pics?

when i had my 1.5 i had on 15 rims with 195/50 tires and lowered sus. springs!!It usually slammed the speedo in 4th gear at 180 runing into the wind!!It seems that the 15's increase the duration of the gear ratio and caused the car to pull longer and harder without compromising the ride quality!!heres a pic!!

15's w/ 50 are actually decreasing your overall rolling diameter, a 155/80/13 is larger in overall diameter than a 195/50/15. As long as you use lightweight wheels, a larger wheel with a low-pro tire will make your car faster.

Everyone keep talking about how critical the offset is, so what is the proper offset?
