Bill and I are woundering if anyone could help us out with lightened flywheel for a 4g61t. 1st. Does the 61t have a 5 or 6 bolt flywheel? 2nd. How will this help make power and what are the down sides? We have heard things like you will lose RPM's and loose power. other things are the motor will turn faster and Build RPM's faster making the turbo build boost faster. Sounds like a lot of "fasters". But will it make us faster. list of Mod's for bill's 61t DIS 2 MSD SDS computer SPEC 6puck clutch greddy oil cantch can STAINLESS DOT APPROVED 1G BRAKE LINE KIT custom adjustable konig shocks custom ground control coilover set 1g throttle body 2g intake elbow costom side mount intercooler BR 16G OUTLET ELBOW crushed 1g BOV 1g intake cam unorthodox can gears unorthodox Pulley kit 1g fluidyne rad with 1g water elbow and custom brackets Walbro 255 fuel pump aftermarket head steel gasket spacer quife LSD 750cc Denso fuel Injectors 2g EX mani ported port and Polished Head with 5angle valve job Custom Cat Back and downpipe Custom built racing trans with duel synk in 1,2and 3 Custom Ross racing Pistons Grounded Rods and shot pinged ARP head Bolts ARP Main Bolts ARP Rod Bolts 16g Turbo Turbo X's Duel stage boost controler buscher FPR NGK degree cooler spark plugs 9.5 MM plug wires fount aftermarket bumper cover COMING SOON CARBON FIBER HOOD!!! It's a six bolt. Depending on what gearbox you have, you can use either FWD turbo DSM flywheels (KM210) or nonturbo (KM206/F5M22) so there are lots of parts availible. I don't think they even made a 5-bolt 4G6x-series engine? Could be wrong. - J |

The 4G15 is 5-bolt, the 4G6x are either 6 or 7 bolt only. In my experience the benefits of a lightened flywheel far outweigh any disadvantages. The only disadvantage Ive come across is that there is an increased risk of stalling it when you take off in traffic - especially if you have a heavy pressure plate and a puck style clutch. You just give it some more revs to compensate. |

I would say price is a disadvantage I wanted one too - but the ones I saw were about 400USD!!! thats a big difference from a stockie which Jmauld sold to me for $25USD! |
