ok i have started to smoke after boosting. and when i let off the gas all the way. it does it with the clutch in and out. it has brand new valve seals with abotu 2k on them. but it not every time. it is oil cause i can smell it. i just switched to casrol 20w50 when this started. could the heavyer oil be causing this. i use this for my soon to be road racing events. i used this oil in my hondas and never had a problem. any help? |

So long as the oil your using is rated SG or higher it shouldn't be a problem. You may have blown the turbo oil-seal. |

I wouldn't want to use 20W-50 in a turbo car exept it is a very hot climate. I'd stick to a synthetic 5W-40 or 10W-40 depending on where you live. This is just a suggestion, I know people who run 20W-50 in their cars for years with no problems, even in somewhat cold climates. These valve seals are brand new, someone really has to f*ck up the install to have them broken again after 2k. I'd point to the turbo, too. |

sounds like your turbo is on the outs. Your's is doing exactly what mine did about a month ago when my stock turbo started sh*tting the bed. Even when mine was blown it still had the same amount of shaft play as when it was good. |

Check the PCV valve and your breather hose, just to make sure. However, I bet your turbo is on it's last legs. Ohhh... as you're burning oil here.... WATCH YOUR OIL LEVEL! |
