so im building a 2.0 for my van.. getting the eagle H beam (1g) rods with the 22mm small end.. my question is do I buy 2g pistons (which I assume I do) and next is do I need to do any machine work to the rod/pistons to make them fit?
i read in the past when using that combo u had to have either the piston or rod machined to clear the piston.... but that was with stock parts.. and other than the hole.

thx
Steve

I believe in the old days the 1g small end was also to fat to fit in the 2g piston but I'm sure that's addressed now that they make a 1g rod with the 2g 22mm end on it. I think the only other thing was to verify no contact on the piston oil squirters. If there is contact Either bend them or go to the evo squirters
