Hello fellas,

I ended up purchasing an '89 Turbo Mirage from a member here about a week ago and am in the middle of making all kinds of bad decisions now heh. I had an old Autronic SM2 ECU collecting dust on a shelf from a project long since put to rest and I'd like to throw it in the car.

I went ahead and downloaded both the '90 Turbo Eclipse ECU pinout as well as the Autronic SM2 ECU wiring diagram/pinout. I matched what I could but can't help but think I'm screwing things up and would like someone with a bit more experience to give it a once over. Once I've got the pinout finished up I'll whip up a patch harness and plug it into the factory harness/loom.

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm especially getting thrown for a loop with the CAS wiring through the ECU (cylinder pulse trigger, reference trigger, trigger ground, trigger supply) and how to power the some of the items (what exactly do the MPI relay pins 7/8 fire up and when should the autronic trigger them?) etc. Anyway, thanks for having a look!

Hey, welcome aboard, this is a wonderful platform and an especially wonderful place to hang out. So I mean this in the best way possible.

Just cause you have it doesnt always make it worth it. I learned that the hard way with an old sds efi system I had been keeping around forever. I could barely give it away on Craigslist. I use a modern megasquirt system today and never have looked back.

But hey I'll never give someone grief for doing it a different way, so best of luck. Get it running and it will be sick regardless

Thanks for the response man,

This ECU was freakin' awesome back in the day though I suppose you can do most of this stuff now with an Evo or Lancer N/T ECU nowadays. I'm sticking to the plan though it's gonna be a pain, anyway take care!

Will you be stripping down a harness for a 'Stand Alone' or just adapting it to your Mirage?

I'd really like to see info/diagrams on a stand alone harness for a WILD project..

Thanks E
