I would just go aftermarket so you get an actual gauge too. Just be sure to buy the special fitting that allows you to thread the pressure sensor into you filter housing. It converts bspt to npt.

That is the best ^^^^
I ran GlowShift electronic Oil Pressure, Coolant Temp and Boost (took them into my GVR4 and still run them without issue) Sensor fit without modifications and had plenty of clearance from the cross-member to avoid contact when the motor shifts.

Make sure to remotely mount the sender away from the block. 12" or so of 4an line. Vibration kills pressure senders.

So the factory sender doesn't get used to send a signal to an aftermarket gauge?

The oil pressure gauge should come with sending unit. Also I found out a few weeks ago that the port you will use is not NPT it is 1/8" BSPT so you would need an adapter or to retap it 1/8" NPT.
