In a pinch, will this combination work? I bought an ecu I was told was for a 90 turbo but turned out to be a 89 eagle summit in a dsm case, and I need to drive my car.

Will it work for a short time until I find a correct one?
I thought for sure that it would but when I plugged it in the car bucks and stalls and the boost gauge jumps around like crazy.

I'm not saying I want to use the summit one, just that I found a c53 ecu in storage and I want to limp around on that.

That ECU is for much smaller injectors and a different MAF

I remember that much. Just curious how it would run since dropping in 450s and a 1g maf was once considered a matched upgrade, like 550s and a 2g maf.

It would be fine if the car was mostly stock, but if you were actually trying to make power, I wouldn't recommend running a 61t ECU. The timing and fuel tables aren't really meant for it.

You are exactly right, it worked but was far from ideal. Bought a dsm one and she goes just fine now.

Thanks again
