i have a 1980 colt with a 4g63t swap. it has worked well, up until the last few times i have been driving it, it has developed a condition where the engine will shut right down for a second, then bam! fires right back up
it never actuslly shuts down, it always idles. it has gotten worse to the point i cant drive it.
i figure i can figure this out using process pf elimination, but if i cant, maybe somebod else has some imput?

my guess is the computer is cutting the fuel on purpose, and it seems to only do it in open loop(thats wen the ox sensor is working, right?
perhaps first thing i should do is check for codes
then swap o2
i already tried swapping mafs

Closed loop = o2 feedback mode. Open loop means it is not using the 02 for feedback.

MPI relay is from the same DSM harness? Bad ECU had my MPI relay trigger off/on once the board got hot.
