for those who are running braided lines for ur turbos... I bought all my stuff back in 2009.. and since im swapping out turbos I decided to replace it all and make it cleaner looking... the shop I bught it from has since closed..and the only other speed shop is lazy as fruit and banana and wants me to get all the fitting sizes.. I know the oil and water lines are 12mm x 1.25 and 14mm x 1.50..... my question is.. all I see are npt threaded fittings.. are those what thread into the turbo? reg pipe thread.... and if so anyone have the correct size... example... 3/8 npt to -6 hose.. or would it be.. 14mm x 1.50 to -6 hose.. I hate when professionals ( he is part owner of this place) wont take the time to help you cause its a 4 cyl turbo and not a BBC. any help would be great.. thanks Steve |

The turbo is not NPT (pipe thread); the turbo takes banjo bolts. If you want -an fittings on the turbo, there are plenty of online vendors that sell oil supply and drain kits for Mitsubishi turbos. Those BBC guys at the local mom and pop store know they don't have anything that will help you, so they don't bother wasting your time. As for the water lines, I personally went on all the DSM-Gvr4-CSM forums until I found used OEM water pipes for mine. You can still buy them new too if I'm not mistaken. |
