Hey all,
Are these two lines before or after the actual throttle body plate?
Image

It appears that these two go down here to some sort of sending unit on the coolant housing...yes? Can they be used as a vacuum source before/after TB?

What is the solenoid looking thing on the left, attached the the vacuum line running across the middle of the picture?

thanks!

last pic is the boost control valve...the only time u will disconnect or eliminate this is when u get a manual boost controller..

the vacuum lines on the tb that go to that sensor are not needed.. most of us loop them back to the side of the tb.. i used to use them for my boost gauge but that was 9 years ago.. now i just loop them and get my vac source from somewhere else.

Cool, thanks! Any idea if those vac lines on the TB are before or after the actual TB plate? I think I may just run my wastegate straight into pre-TB boost (I have no nipple on my 14b).

I'd like to use one of the ports for my wastegate. I have a 14b with no nipple and an aftermarket IC setup with no nipple as well. I assume I can use either of these for my wastegate as it only needs to see boost (vac not needed), right?

no you either need to leave the stock boost controller hooked up... or get a mbc..

if you have..or get a mbc then do the next step below... if you dont have a mbc leave stock hooked up.

the J pipe coming off the turbo doesnt have a nipple?.. if not u can take it off.. drill a small hole and get a nipple from local hardware store and have it welded on.. the shorter the hose length the better boost control u have.. connect the mbc to the nipple then to the wg.. BAM instant boost control lol..

I do have an MBC. What is the harm in just running it off one of the nipples on the TB? This should be the same reading as far as PSI goes, yes?
