Hopefully changing the Pressure plate solves my problem, but Ok, so I'm waiting on my act2600 to arrive this Wed. I have the comp ball and fork. The ball came with plastic washer so I changed that with the metal one I had from the previous ball. The question I have is do I need to shim the new ball more than just one washer with the act2600?

The general rule is one (hardened) washer at most.

I've never used any washers unless included, so I'm sure just one is fine.

100% accurate... make sure its hardened and ONLY use 1.. I used 2 once and the ball stripped out and fell out.. had to permanently weld it in.. it sucked.
