It is not going to build boost. That is a km175 transmission and converter in there. It is just too tight. No matter what you do it will not stall past 1800rpm. It was that way when the car was non turbo and that way after the turbo. Nitrous is your only chance. This is not a normal dsm fwd setup. I know, i rebuilt the transmission myself.

Everything is smaller and weaker. It only has two clutches and three steels versus four clutches and five steels. The basket, band and everything is smaller. It was meant for a 95hp car. And the converter is itty bitty versus a DSM converter. With the blue wire mod and the shift box it was 100x's better though. It would flare really bad even after the rebuild. The blue wire mod helped a bunch but, the TCU still has problems. Once the shift box went in it fixed all the flaring issues.

Why would you go through the trouble of rebuilding a weaker transmission? From the research I just did they seem to be found in 1.8-2.4 liter colt vistas ect. If I cant get it to build boost off the line I will bump it with the nos

Because it was shot and slipping badly when I brought the car from Texas as a worn out stock N/A setup. And the car was a legitimate daily driver and I had to have it right, especially when my wife drove it. And because it was pretty darn cheap to rebuild it myself.

Why don't you just put a F4A33 (2.0 turbo FWD auto trans) in there? Wouldn't it all bolt right on?

Had bigger plans but, my friend needed the car more than I did. It was an extra car for us when that came time.

This trans works just fine. No sense in changing untill it brakes. $200 nitrous kit to get it over the hump aint shit.

Ive had a few nitrous v8 cars lt1's and ls1's never had to use nitrous on a 4 banger turbo lol. Im not even quite sure how to do it? Im assumeing just a single dry nossle right before the throttle body with like a 25 shot and just tap the button to get over the hump of the converter and into boost. Then Should be able to launch with a few psi
