So I'm in The Philippines and I have a 1991 Lancer GTI 4DR which is a C62A with a 4G15 SOHC, EFI, N/A.

I'm going to get it painted and worked on soon and I'm going to get the engine and transmission overhauled.

But then I though the price of the overhaul might equal the price of a 4G63T/4G63 swap. So my question is can you directly put in a 4G63T into the C62A with no modifications to the body or mounts?

I'm pretty sure the mounts are different, they are in our 4G15 powered cars anyway. The good news is that you can use the mounts from the 92-95 Hyundai Elantra if you got those though. Well, all but the transmission mount.

Here is a pic of one with a 1.8 in it, so yea, you could. Just get the mounts from one of these:

We only have the second generation Elantra here, atleast they are the only ones I see.

Look fir the DOHC 1.6/1.8/2.0 liter motors. They will look like the motor in the picture

I meant what Generation 4G63T/4G63 I should look for?

========================================================

The 63's here in The Philippines usually comes from the RVR or Galant GTI, should I look for a 63 specifically from one of them?

Another question is the Transmission, I've read that the 4G15 Transmission would work okay with the N/A but will not hold up with the Turbo variant... So what transmission should I look for?

you need the motor with the timing belt on the drivers side and the lower motor mounts need to be at the motor block. Best would be of a Galant E30 (approx 1987-1993). Or if you find one, eclipse/talon/laser of the first generation (d20). 2nd generation hast the lower engine mounts an the transmission. but the RVR might be interesting. it at least the right time. later 4g63 in galant ea0 and lancer cs0 are rotated 180 degree and have the timing belt on the passenger side.
