Can anyone tell me what trans should be in my car. The one in there now has the model # boobol and gr4014 below it. I can't make any axle work with this thing. Any help would be much appreciated. My car is a 89 colt gt. 4g61

KM210 is the stock trans. for your car.

You would be better off with a 4g63t 5spd manual trans, F5M33.

http://www.nippon-motors.com/ They carry the 4g61t motor. They might also be able to get you the tranny.

xtremecolt, Also please put your location in your user control panel.

BOOBQL is the trans code you have on the top of your bellhousing.

That is the stock bellhousing on a KM210.

Why are no other axles fitting?

And more importantly, what happened to, and where are the factory axles for your car?

P.S. Is your car set up on the VIN Registry?

You should have a two piece axle set on the driver side, and a single piece on the passenger.

I found one correct axle for passenger side. I ordered ten of them and one out off the bunch was right. And thanks for the info on the trans code. I do have a km210. When I bought the car it came with the half shafts on driver side but was missing the outer half. Now I have a one pice long shaft that really sucks cause the torque steer. Do I need to continue ordering that side also to maybe get lucky and get the correct one. I do have the correct inner shaft if that's really hard to get. I'm sure it is. Well any and all info on my new toy is much appreciated. Thanks everyone for the info. I'll try and get some pics posted soon to see what I'm working with.

Most of the time the axles are listed under turbo '88 Mirage, check the axle thread for part numbers from various stores. I had the best luck with carquest, right axles the first time.
