Ok i have been beating my head on a rock trying to make a stock full size radiator work with my current setup. What options are available? I am trying to avoid a half stack because i had nothing but over heating problems with my last one. I am running into issues down low My hx 40 compressor housing is touching on the lower portion of the radiator (due to also my fmic piping) 38mm wastegate is touching the radiators as well off of the o2 housing. Is there a radiator that will sit where the ac condensor used too if it helps i can post pics.

My setup is a hx 35/40 hybrid bep housing 2g ex mani.

I'll snap some pics of my scirocco radiator tomorrow. It basically sits flush with the core support. I had to "massage" the opening a little bit to make a little room but it wasn't much.

Previously I ran a halfsize honda radiator without issues, 25psi, constant beatings, etc. The key is to get the thick version as there are some that are only an inch thick and some that are over 2" thick.

My son is running a Scirocco radiator in his Galant VR4 (as am I in my 4g63t swapped colt. No cooling problems what-so-ever. Only had to drill 1 hole to allow the lower pins of the radiator to mount inside the core support. Neither car ran hot at all during the summer nor the track. Each car has one single 12" pusher fan. We ordered ours off Amazon for $65 each.

I actually used an Audi A100 radiator that I grabbed at the junkyard and had it cleaned by a local radiator shop. I might have some pics on my cardomain page from way back but I'm not sure. Unfortunately my build pics are long gone on here since the Gallery went down. Sucks because myself and a lot of others went through great lengths to do write-ups to help the community.

The measurements are almost the same as the Scirocco radiator. Might have to look into that one.

The thing is you don't see very many of the A100's but I do believe some other audi's used a very similar if not the same radiator. Also by the time I factored in the cost of having it cleaned and the end tank gaskets replaced I'm not sure that I saved that much money. I probably could have skipped that but it was a freshly rebuilt engine so I didn't want to cut corners.

But it is another option if you can get your hands on a decent one for cheap.

its not actually from a sciriocco.. but is based off it.. u can find them cheaper but I have this saved since I bought my first one from them a few years ago for 280.. found one for 260 from jeggs.. but this gives u the part number to search for it on e-bay or where ever... also here is the fan setup they sell for it..

I have one in my 94 mirage.. doesnt fit as nice as in the 89 but still works great.

I run the same radiator as slowdsm, AFCO 80107N. It kinda pokes out a little bit as you can see in the picture, but still, so much room for activities  I run it with a single 12" fan and it's never given me any problems
